Door and window quantities should not remain as a single provisional sum once the layout is known. Each opening affects wall-panel fabrication, structure, flashing, sealing and interior finishing.
Record opening information
List identification code, room, width, height, frame material, operation, glazing, mesh, hardware, sill level and security requirement.
Coordinate ventilation and weather exposure
Casement, sliding, fixed and louvred configurations provide different ventilation and sealing performance. Select them according to room use and exposure.
Include installation accessories
The BOQ should cover frames, anchors, sealants, flashings, trims, hardware, locks, handles and final adjustment.
